Hi Everyone!
I'm acting as student editor this month, so thought I'd start off by introducing myself. I'm about eighteen months into my PhD at Flinders Uni. in SA and very interested in all things pop. culture. My thesis is looking at novels in which cliques of students commit murders on campus (a la Donna Tartt's The Secret History), and my own novel is about a group of first years who murder one of their creative writing tutor. So far, I'm having a lot of fun with it!
We're all on here because we understand the need for a strong support network. At Flinders we're currently looking at ways to strengthen our CW/English post grad community and to expand this community to include post grads from other unis. We started hosting a CW/English postgrad conference in 2008 where we could all get together and talk about our research and we have an online forum, similar (though not as sophistocated) to this. I'm really interested to find out what kind of forums and events other post grad groups have organised. I know Adelaide Uni. has been running Word Fire for the last three years, which is a really supportive space for writers to share their work. Are other unis organising similar events?
Cheers,
Margot
Extending Flinders reach...
Hi Margot,
You have at least two Victorians heading your way for the Story of the Story Conference this month. Myself and another AAWP member Glenice. Both of us (from Swinburne) are presenting papers and look forward to meeting other Postgrads from your Uni. See you there.

HI!
Recently I used essay buy and found out loads of very nice meetings and events! I think you should also call them to find more details regarding your issue.
