Sorry for late posting all you gluttons for punishment who wish to go on to PhD, but ASAL only sent me this on Monday and I have had major deadlines to work to and offline with pen and paper mostly (luddite that I am).

You can still get it together in time:

La Trobe English Program is currently advertising postgraduate research scholarships in the areas of (1) Lifewriting, Biography and Autobiography Studies, and (2) Australian Literature in Transnational Contexts. We would be very pleased if you were able to circulate information about these scholarships among students and colleagues.

Applications are invited in a range of areas at La Trobe University for three years, commencing 2009.  These scholarships are additional to the research scholarships offered each year. Information about the scholarships and application procedures is available at the following address
