Passion and enthusiasm. Balance of support and challenge. By negotiation. Adhere to Unviersity's systems. Time and regularity. Editing. Discussion. Encouragement to publish, present at conferences, and think about life after the PhD. Resource suggestion. The list below of interests is huge. It doesn't mean I have expertise in all. Some of the categories are 'repeats' (for example, creative nonfiction contains biography etc.) At August 2011, I have completed 2 PhD supervisions as a Co-supervisor, and 2 as Principal; I am Principal Supervisor to 3 more.
