The Australian Association of Writing Programs

The annual QUT Postgraduate Creative Writing Prize is now open. The prize, worth $2000, is open to all post-graduate writing students enrolled in an Australian university in this calendar year (2011). Entries may be in the form of a short story, creative non-fiction, a literary or professional writing essay, poetry or a collection of haikus. Submissions are limited to 3000 words of prose or 50 lines for poetry. The prize winner and shortlisted entries will be published in the annual Creative Writing and Literary Studies anthology, Rex. The winner will be announced at the end-of-year Queensland Writing Gala (date and venue to be announced).
