Creative Ecologies: A Postgraduate Retreat in Creative Arts Scholarship

The Writing & Society Research Group at the University of Western Sydney is hosting a three day master class and writing program titled 'Creative Ecologies: A Postgraduate Retreat in Creative Arts Scholarship'.

This retreat, targeted at postgraduate students engaged in research that incorporates a creative writing component and exegesis, seeks to develop an awareness of the connection between creative and critical discourses such that students can approach the writing process with more confidence while developing their skills as creative research-writers. Presentations, panels, writing workshops and writing circles will be given and facilitated by both the Group's academics (Prof. Ivor Indyk, Prof. Hazel Smith, Prof Nick Jose, Assoc. Prof. Sara Knox, Assoc. Prof. Anna Gibbs) as well as visiting academics (Prof. Ross Gibson, Dr Anthony Macris).

An invitation to this retreat, including details of how to apply, is attached. Please forward this information to your Higher Degree Research Students who are engaged in creative writing doctorates and encourage them to apply by 1 August.
