I have been avoiding the dreaded Blog. How can one diarise a life online? What will I have to say that is unique and interesting. How much of me am I prepared to share? Unique I can do. But interesting? Certainly personal will need to wait.
My cat spent the day following me around, window to window, as I gardened. She was stuck inside and wanted to make sure I knew she resented the imprisonment. Meow, gripe, meow. Never mind that it was pouring rain. Never mind the wind was vicious. Little miss Sippet would have preferred the option of a romp outdoors. It was the lack of choice that she found annoying. All was forgiven when I returned cold and wet. I was greeted with head-butts and purring. Did I mention the catnip in my pocket?
Unique? Interesting? I may need a bit of practice with this blogging. Well, I will leave this first post at that. Hello world, I am blogging!

Blogging
Hi Diane
I'll visit your blog but a quick message here to say 'go for it'. It's a worthwhile endeavour. You meet so many fascinating people within the blogosphere.
It is so enjoyable to read
It is so enjoyable to read the well-written words of a good writer, on any subject, as even your musings on blogging and felines are written in such a way as to have me enthraulled. I hope you write more, as I would eagerly like to learn from your writing style.
Incidentally, I recently stumbled upon a very useful explanation for all feline behavior. From the perspective of a cat, they and they alone are the center of all causality. So to your cat, the reason you shut the door was clearly because there was something entertaining outside you wanted to keep from her, which now she must experience.
